Laura Herron, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist licensed in Virginia, DC and PsyPact states (see PsyPact map). She provides individual and couples therapy in person and via Telehealth for adults of all ages.
Dr. Herron takes a warm, empathic, and collaborative approach to therapy, listening carefully to support clients in building insight, identifying goals, and taking active steps toward living a more meaningful, values-centered life.
Dr. Herron has almost 15 years of experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients navigate issues including but not limited to:

Dr. Herron completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at American University in Washington, DC. She graduated cum laude from Barnard College in New York City. She has trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including university counseling centers, VA hospitals, and private practice. She is trained in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method for Couples.
Dr. Herron is currently out-of-network with insurance plans.
